MaxAttack! raised the level of two wheel drive rally racing in the United States for the past few years. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsor during those years, Danza del Sol Winery in Temecula Valley, California, the Rallysports Group of America (RSGA) paid out a cash purse of $15,000 USD per year to be divided amongst the fastest teams competing in the MaxAttack! events.

Getting Ready to Head to LSPR

Well, I leave tomorrow night for the Lake Superior Rally.  Like at New England, I am going to be posting interviews and information during the course of the rally from the service areas.  Hopefully the Rally America satellite truck will be working, and internet access won't be a problem.

MAXATTACK! TEAM NW PREPARES FOR BATTLE AT LSPR

A multi-car team has been formed in the Pacific Northwest with the intent of keeping the MaxAttack! 2WD Championship Title on the West Coast for another year. What originally began as a grassroots effort to send under-funded two-wheel drive dynamo Cody Crane to contest the third and final round of MaxAttack! has quickly evolved in to a three-car program. The MaxAttack!

MaxAttack TeamNW is formed!

The NorthWest has consolodated their effort to get to LSPR! Follow the status of the team and watch the updates through their facebook page:

Oh, owning a racecar

Well, it's a week before I plan on leaving for Ojibwe. The car is running fairly well, still leaks a little oil but runs nice. With the help of a friend I just put in a new clutch and replaced the front brake rotors and lines. Now, I have no brake pressure.

To answer the obvious question: yes, I bled the brakes. Then bled them again. And again. And again. Then replaced the master cylinder, and bled them yet another time. The pedal still goes to the floor and no, there are no leaks. Off to a friend's house to get the brakes vacuum bled. Hopefully that works.

New max-attack.com features

I opened max-attack.com to user registrations a couple of weeks back (just ahead of NEFR). Several people have registered and applied to be contributors and be able to write blogs and stories here. You can see a list of who has registered so far and who is a contributor at this page: http://max-attack.com/userlist - you can also click on each username to see their profile. I look forward to seeing what people will be writing in their blogs and stories!

New stage for max-attack.com

Last week, ahead of Idaho Rally, I enabled the live updates pages on max-attack.com (see the Live Updates link on the top menu bar). For the most part it worked out ok. Some people had issues with the live chat function, but I have now changed to a different chat room tool, by Meebo, which seems to work much better so far. We will see how it goes this weekend, for New England Forest Rally.
